Shaire maintains a policy of terminating user accounts that are repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances. We track copyright infringement notices and may terminate accounts after multiple valid DMCA takedown notices.
Process:
Users may appeal termination decisions by demonstrating that the notices were invalid or filed in error.
Section 512(f) Liability: Anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees. Similarly, filing false counter-notifications may result in liability.
